Today I will mostly be a photographer

I love working with Jim and today we are shooting a wedding which will be held at Ealing Abbey (pictured above courtesy of JTC Photography).

It will be a busy and tiring day but I really love photographing weddings......being part of a couples day is just magical.

A surprise Hobbycraft trip

The other day Jim steered me (literally) to Hobbycraft and treated me to some goodies. In need of some more felt and thread I had a blast looking at all the colours available. I hope to turn some of these into a few things soon - very mysterious I know, but again it'll be a case of trial and error. I promise to share the work in progress.

Daisy was also treated to a felt elephant kit and a fairy cake sun catcher, although she more or less wanted everything in the shop! That's my girl.

Almost the weekend and isn't this weather just glorious!

The other day I won the blog giveaway from the very talented Julia Crossland. I never win things so suffice to say I was over the moon.

Isn't it a lovely print. I am in love. And the postcard she sent with it was wonderful.

Hello! Tis me. I was mucking about with the camera on Saturday and decided that maybe I would do one of these type of shots that a lot of people do. As usual I am always late to the party.....I always read bestsellers years after they have been published!

Sweet Magnolias

I had a lovely weekend. It included; family, children, sketching, sunshine, relaxing, Kew Gardens, photography, magnolias and best of all, no renovating a cottage. It was lovely.

The magnolias smelt lovely and they were out in full bloom, attracting tourists, keen gardeners and also students using them as backgrounds in their photoshoots. Mind you these trees are so beautiful it's no wonder they attracted such interest.

I hope you all had a good weekend. I can't believe it's all over and it's Monday again.

Sunday Sketches

Hello and can you believe I've made it to another Sunday Sketches this week. It's only a little doodle I did using my new gouache paints (can you tell I am in love) and pen. A bit of fun. Also a bit ironic as we are having gorgeous spring weather here (no rain in sight) and I am posting this just before we head out to Kew Gardens for the afternoon.

I have had a lovely weekend so far and wishes for this weather to continue. It sure makes everyone happy and the world a brighter place.
